Our Favorite Looks From The Met Gala

Our Favorite Looks From The Met Gala

Written by Kathryn Andes

The theme of this year’s Met Gala was 'In America: An Anthology Of Fashion'. The dress code of the event was Gilded Glamor, with that we were expecting to see a modern take on fashion from the 1870-1890 time period. While some celebrities and socialites dressed true to the theme, others strayed away. Gilded fashion is consistent with the era of American history where industrialization and rapid prosperity boomed. Gilded glamor is synonymous with wealth, privilege, and gold.

Some celebrities incorporated historically accurate silhouettes and shapes like corsets and bustiers, while others debuted more modern looks. Our favorite celebrity ensembles were worn by Blake Lively in Versace, Paloma Elsesser in Coach, and Rosalía in Givenchy. Keep scrolling to see more of the glamorous looks from the event.
